Sydney interior designer Pip Robb wants to bring colour to your life. With her simple style philosophy, Robb designs comfortable armchairs that pack a punch in bright colours for maximum enjoyment. “Our aim is to source chairs and home wares that defy time and trends that belong in any room,” she says. “Furniture that resonates instinctively with the individual."
Robb actually restores the mostly vintage chairs by re-upholstering them in her signature kaleidoscopic hues. Her Melbourne aunt, Helen Robb-Lacey, joined forces with Robb to form Paprika & Lime in late 2010 including a wholesale range of ottomans and cushions as well as chairs. The results have been overwhelming for the pair with the top glossies clamouring to feature their dynamic range. Paprika & Lime was featured in a recent edition of Australian House & Garden, My Child, Home Beautiful and Marie Claire.
The chairs' classic shapes and natural fabrics - Indian cottons, linens and silk-linen mixes – are a favourite for fans of the brand, but it’s the expressive use of colour – punchy pinks, strong stripes and lightning bolt yellow feature heavily to become the star attraction of any living room. With the business booming, the designer duo recently launched their new lampshade range and their first two-seater sofa when they exhibited at the recent Decoration + Design on July 21-24.
